About the Journal

TRADITION AND MODERNITY IN VETERINARY MEDICINE is an open access, peer-reviewed scientific journal of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Forestry, Bulgaria. Covers topics related to both fundamental and applied aspects of veterinary medicine. The journal considers articles on all aspects of veterinary science and medicine, including the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of medical conditions of domestic, companion, farm and wild animals, as well as the biomedical processes that underlie their health.

The journal is devoted to the advancement and dissemination of scientific knowledge concerning veterinary sciences and related academic disciplines.

TRADITION AND MODERNITY IN VETERINARY MEDICINE is published in English in yearly volumes of three issues.

The journal is open access licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.

The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject manuscripts that are not within the scope of the journal, or do not meet the requirements for publication. The manuscripts are independently reviewed by referees who are anonymous to authors. When the Editor has received written opinions of referees, he or she will relay these to the author. The final decision concerning a revised manuscript is the responsibility of the Editorial Board.

All issues in 2026 will be printed with the financial support of The Bulgarian National Science Fund, grant „Bulgarian Scientific Periodicals – 2026″, in implementation of project KP-06-NP 7/7
